Description
Who are you producing captions for, and what are their needs? Dr. Childress will use her dual perspective as an audiologist, late-deafened adult and bilateral cochlear implant user to discuss how hearing loss can impact consumers not only audiologically but psycho-socially as well. She will also present her wish list for working with captioners. Michele Michaels, as a consumer and an advocate managing programs and services for 1 million hard of hearing Arizonans, will represent a variety of consumer perspectives on what your audience looks for in captioning, whether that be broadcast captioning, realtime, voice writing, post-production, or ASR/AI.
