Chelle Wyatt

Chelle Wyatt is a founder of Hearing Loss LIVE, an educational platform focused on communication access and hearing loss awareness. She specializes in lipreading instruction and practical strategies for navigating hearing loss in real-world settings. Her work centers on self-advocacy, empowerment, and inclusive communication. She is the author of 61 Days of Hearing Loss: Life Lessons to Improve Communication, which includes a caption advocacy moment for a local university football game.

Chelle has volunteered for over 20 years within the Hard of Hearing community: The SayWhatClub in various capacities, including serving on their Board of Directors and as President. She’s been active with the local Hearing Loss Association of America, Salt Lake City Chapter during that time, serving on their steering committee as past president and treasurer for over 20 years as well. Her newest volunteer position is as Public Member for the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences.

Having worn hearing aids for over 30 years, she intimately understands the accommodations the Hard of Hearing community needs. Learning self-advocacy as a consumer is a must. When we advocate for accommodations, we help far more people than we'll ever know. Captions and/or assistive listening help bridge the gap. Nothing says "welcome" like having the right accommodations available.
